AOF Students from Boone High School Win Big at Deloitte Virtual Team Challenge
Two teams of sophomores from Boone High School's Academy of Finance in Orlando, Florida recently took both 1st and 2nd place out of four hundred participating groups in the Deloitte Virtual Team Challenge. The two teams were faced with business tasks and challenges that simulate the real-world experiences of professional services employees at Deloitte. Boone High School's Academy of Finance received $500 for supplies and technological improvements. Congratulations to all the winners!

Verizon Employees Demonstrate Fiber-Optic Splicing
Verizon employees recently made a special visit to Academy of Engineering students at University High School in Los Angeles, California to demonstrate fiber-optic cable splicing. The participating students explored the mobile field communications van and asked questions about working at Verizon and the cable splicing process. View more pictures from the event.
